And at the place of the “in between”, their bittersweet reunion culminates in one breathtaking kiss.
But unbeknownst to both Ivy and Tristan, it was that one heart stopping kiss that brought Ivy back to life ~ and are prohibited from meddling in matters of life and death. Now fallen from heaven for saving the girl he loves, Tristan is in the body of a stranger, and he must find his way to Ivy once more…

My Thoughts: Evercrossed is the 4th book in the Kissed By An Angel series. I actually thought this was the first book in the series. There was no list of other books inside the book and I didn’t realise until part way through and did some investigating. There was, however, enough of a back story in this book so I was able to keep up. I was disappointed though because I think I would have really liked the series, but since I know how it turns out, I’m not sure that I would enjoy it as much. So my advice would be to read books 1, 2 and 3 before you take on … hehehe! I’d also suggest that if you haven’t read the series you should stop reading this review (because there will be spoilers) and go and get yourself the books and start reading :)

Evercrossed picks up a year after Tristan’s death. Ivy is trying to get on with her life and is dating Will. But Ivy starts to dwell on Tristin and her past and withdraws from Will and her best friend Beth who become worried about her, with good reason because Ivy finds herself in trouble again.

Ivy seems to be a magnet for car crashes. A car crash caused Tristan’s death and now a car crash almost takes her life. Near death, Ivy and Tristan share a passionate kiss, Ivy then wakes up in a hospital bed and Tristan has broken an important rule – Angels should not mess with mortal life and death.

Beth at times drove me a little crazy with her possessiveness and nagging, but it wasn’t enough to distract me from the story. There is a pretty major cliffhanger at the end so I’m guessing that there will be another book.

Evercrossed has action, romance, suspense and drama, so from a YA standpoint it has everything covered :)
