I’m Taking a Bit of a Break!

You may have noticed that things have been a little quiet around here lately! While things on my blog and in my virtual world have been quiet, things in my life have been far from it.

My 4 year old daughter was diagnosed with autism a few months ago and while we have always known that she was a little different and had adjusted our parenting skills accordingly, we have now found ourselves in this foreign world of speech therapy, occupational therapies, early intervention classes and specialised playgroups. We have learnt so much and continue to learn more about managing her behaviour and the way she thinks and processes the world around her.

So, even though I’m still reading, I have had to trade the fictional world for Autism books and resources. I am planning to still get the odd review out and post every now and then, but it just won’t be as frequently as I did in the past. Perhaps in the new year I will have more time to dedicate to my Fictional Fantasy world :)
